Liverpool not only has a great football team, but also great The Wombats. Matthew Murphy, Dan Haggis and Tord Øverland-Knudsen formed the band in 2003, but their debut album "A Guide To Love, Loss & Desperation" was released only in 2007, but it was worth the wait. The album immediately resonated in the British indie-pop waters and the single Let's Dance to Joy Division won the award at the NME Awards for best dance song and The Wombats themselves earned a nomination for Best New Band. With their second album The Modern Glitch, they only confirmed their status as one of the best Britpop bands of 2011 and that was also the year they appeared at the second annual Grape festival. Since then, a lot of water has flowed in the musical rivers, the band released four more albums, the most recent Oh! The Ocean was released in 2025. This group is still in great shape, bringing joy, energy and great fun to their performances and we are happy that they will be able to prove it to you again. Every time we receive an email from an artist who has already played with us and wants to return to Slovakia, we are very happy because we know that they liked it here.
